UPSC NDA Selection Process

The UPSC NDA exam is divided into 2 stages.

1. Written test
2. Interview

The details of the 2 stages are as follows:

1. Written – 

This is an OMR based exam where you have to mark right answer in the OMR sheet. In this exam, you have to carry black ball pen for answering the questions and no other pen and pencil will allowed for the exam. This test is divided into 2 section, each of them has 2½ time duration for completing the exam. first section contains 300 marks and second section contains 600 marks. the negative marking of 0.33 marks are same for both section.

Candidates should note that any omission/mistake/discrepancy in encoding/filling of details in the OMR answer sheet especially with regard to Roll Number and Test Booklet Series Code will render the answer sheet liable for rejection. This test will conduct in both Hindi and English languages. In this test you will not be able to use calculator aur any device for solving the questions.

2. Interview – 

After clearing the written test you will appear in this. The process of interview conduct by the officials. Candidates who qualify interview will go for merit, and therefore merit list will be prepared, after that who fulfill the criteria will join the work as well. This interview takes 4 days for completing.

3. Medical Test –

To be deemed ‘Medically fit’, a candidate must be in good physical and mental health and free from any disease/syndrome/disability likely to interfere with the efficient performance of military duties in any terrain, climate, season incl sea and air, in remote areas, in austere conditions with no medical aid. Candidate also should be free of medical conditions which require frequent visit to medical facilities and use of any aid /drugs.

During the Training period of 3 years, an NDA officer gets a fixed salary of ₹56,100 per month and after that, the NDA salary can go up to ₹2,50,000 per month at his highest rank and promotion.
