SSC JE Selection Process

The JE exam is divided into 2 stages.

1. Computer-based test (Paper I)
2. Computer-based test (Paper II)

The details of the 2 stages are as follows:

1. Computer Based Test (Paper I) – 

In this, a test of 200 marks is taken on the computer, which is divided into 3 sections. First section contains 50 questions and each question carries 1 marks. Second section contains 50 questions and each question carries 1 marks. Third section contains 100 questions and each question carries 1 marks. The third section is divided into 3 parts and candidates have to choice according to their department. If the answer to the question is given wrong, one third marks will be deducted.

2. Computer Based Test (Paper II) – 

Candidates who cleared Paper I will appear in this. The candidates will be required to attempt the General Engineering part (i.e. Part-A, Part-B or Part-C) in Paper-I and Paper-II, which has been selected by them, according to their educational qualification. This section is divided into 3 section which is Part-A: General Engineering (Civil & Structural), Part-B: General Engineering (Electrical), Part-C: General Engineering (Mechanical). Each part contains 100 questions and each questions carries 3 marks. There is negative marking of one third.

Its a Group B (Non-Gazetted), Non-Ministerial Level post. there is various type of work according to your educational qualities. you will be posted in different departments according to your capabilities. this job will provide you a good salary which is Level 6 (Rs 35400-112400/-) of pay matrix of 7th Central Pay Commission.
